We switched to blackwood tek a few years ago because rosewood was endangered but we were able to switch back when it was no longer an endangered material. Blackwood Tek sometimes had cracks in it but it is part of the wood and does not grow or break overtime. This guitar had a crack on the fretboard (fret 16-20) that has been filled just in case. Otherwise the guitar is brand new and plays great!
